Lake City, FL – A woman is accused of shooting her estranged husband in the testicles during a dispute over an air conditioning unit.
She was back in jail on Tuesday, after she failed to show up to court.
Kimberly Dunn, 35, was at her residence in October of 2017, when her soon-to-be ex-husband and his brother showed up, WJAX reported.
When Dunn learned that her husband planned to take the air conditioning unit to sell on Facebook, she parked herself on top of it in protest.
The men started to unhook the unit, but when her husband went to yank her from the machine, she delivered a surprise shock with a pink stun gun.
Dunn was struck in the head during the altercation that ensued, and dropped both the stun gun and a handgun, WJAX reported.
She managed to retrieve her firearm from the floor and fired a round at her husband’s testicles.
“You shot my brother!” the other man screamed, as he proceeded to choke Dunn until she passed out.
He then rushed his brother to a hospital, taking Dunn’s handgun with him.
When police came to arrest Dunn later in the day, she claimed she did not intend to shoot her husband, and that she only wanted to scare him.
She was back in the Columbia County Jail on Tuesday, after she failed to show up for court in relation to her pending aggravated battery charge, the Miami Herald reported.
Dunn now faces an additional count of contempt and was being held without bond.
