The Police Tribune is a law enforcement news publication staffed by journalists and columnists with family in law enforcement.

We cover news topics of interest to law enforcement officers, their families, and just about anybody else interested in criminal justice.

Editor In Chief – Sandy Malone: Twitter/@SandyMalone_. Sandy previously wrote the Politics.Net column for the Wall Street Journal and was managing editor of Campaigns & Elections magazine. More recently, she was an internationally-syndicated columnist for Conde Nast (BRIDES), The Huffington Post, and Monsters and Critics. Sandy and her husband Bill, a retired police captain and former SWAT commander, ran a destination wedding planning business on Vieques Island, Puerto Rico for 10 years after his retirement, before relocating stateside following Hurricane Maria. She is the star of TLC’s reality show “Wedding Island.”

Senior Writer – Holly Matkin: Holly is a former probation and parole officer who is married to a sheriff’s deputy. She is a regular contributor to Signature Montana magazine, and has written feature articles for Distinctly Montana magazine.

Journalist – Tom Gantert: Tom Gantert graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Tom started in the newspaper business in 1983. He has worked at the Jackson Citizen Patriot (Michigan), Lansing State Journal (Michigan), Ann Arbor News (Michigan), Vineland Daily-Journal (Michigan), North Hills News Record (Pennsylvania) and USA Today (Virginia). He is also currently the managing editor of Michigan Capitol Confidential, a daily news site of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.

Tom is the father of a Michigan State Police trooper.
