Tomah, WI – A 74-year-old woman has been convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old male student while she was working as a teacher at a private school in Wisconsin.

A Monroe County Jury convicted Anne Nelson-Koch on all 25 charges against her on July 31 after a three-day trial, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.

Nelson-Koch was 67 years old when she repeatedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy in the basement of a private school, Tomah Baptist Academy, during the 2016-2017 academic year, according to Inside Edition.

Monroe County District Attorney Kevin Croninger said the jury convicted the now-former teacher on all 25 counts after approximately five hours of deliberation, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.

She was charged with 12 counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, eight counts of exposing intimate parts to a child, four counts of child enticement sexual conduct, and one count of intimidating a victim, according to Inside Edition.

Nelson-Koch faces up to 600 years in prison when she is sentenced on Oct. 27, FOX News reported.

Monroe County Assistant District Attorney Sarah Skiles praised the now-20-year-old victim for his role in helping bring his abuser to justice.

“The victim of these crimes is an incredibly brave young man,” Skiles said in a statement to the Wisconsin State Journal. “He spoke the truth, and the jury heard him loud and clear. We are so grateful to the jury for their dedication to finding the truth.”

She said Tomah Police Investigator Paul Sloan’s handling of the case was also paramount in security the conviction.

“We could not have achieved this outcome without the victim’s strength and Investigator Sloan’s dedication and thorough investigation,” Skiles told the Wisconsin State Journal.

The prosecutor urged Monroe County Circuit Court Judge Richard Radcliffe to order Nelson-Koch be taken into custody pending her sentencing hearing, but the judge opted to release her with GPS monitoring, according to the paper.
