Del Norte, CO – A Colorado police department posted a mugshot of a man they said had a warrant on their official Facebook page, but they never could have guessed who would be the first to respond.

“This gentlemen has a warrant for his arrest. He is known to live in Del Norte around 4th and Alder,” the Del Norte Police Department shared on Facebook on June 17, alongside a mugshot of Trishtin Brown. “This picture was taken December 2017. If you see him please call Dispatch or the Police Dept.”

Exactly eight minutes after they posted the picture, the Del Norte police got their first comment on it – from the man himself, KOAA-TV reported.

“Dam that’s f–ked up,” Brown commented beneath the virtual “wanted” poster sporting his image.

The Del Norte police were on top of their game and sent back a snappy reply only nine minutes later.

“Would you like to bring yourself in to take care of your warrant?” the police asked.

Brown did not take the police department up on their offer, and did not respond on that Facebook thread again. But the initial exchange was epic, and has been shared numerous times.

He may not be all that hard to track down as Del Norte is a town with a population of about 1,700, and numerous people on the Facebook thread seemed eager to point authorities in the right direction.

Brown was wanted for possession of a controlled substance by the 12th Judicial District in Rio Grande County, according to KOAA.

This wasn’t the first time in recent months that a wanted person has responded to a law enforcement agency’s social media post asking for their whereabouts.

Kayla Irizarry taunted police in Moses Lake, Washington, after they released her during a traffic stop on May 4, KDKA-TV reported.

After she had left the scene, officers discovered a purse that contained Irizarry’s ID and a pistol. So the Moses Lake Police Department posted a message on their Facebook page seeking information on where Irizarry and her companion might be.

“Here’s a hint of where I’m at: Not in jail,” Irizarry commented beneath the picture of herself, followed by a smiling emoji.

She was later arrested after police nabbed her with a sting operation using social media, KDKA reported.
