Bradenton, FL – A four-woman brawl erupted at a Florida intersection that was captured on video by a witness and two people ended up going to jail.
Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call regarding a fight in the middle of an intersection. By the time the police arrived, the people involved in the fight had left, according to WFLA-TV.
A report wasn’t taken at the scene, police said. But after the video emerged on social media, police followed up on the incident. (Video below)
However, two hours later a local hospital called the police and said two women were treated for injuries who may have been involved in the fight. The women suffered non-life-threatening injuries, WFLA reported.
The video was taken by a Florida hip hop artist known as Moon P. It was posted on June 2 on his Facebook account and within two days it had been shared 3,200 times with 202,000 views.
The video showed a woman with an object in her hand approach the passenger side of a stopped vehicle. The passenger side door was open and the woman with the object repeatedly struck the passenger inside the car.
The driver got out and approached the woman hitting the passenger, but was stopped by another woman. Eventually, the woman being struck inside the car was able to get out of the car and an all-out brawl ensued.
A man came into the video and tried to break up two of the women fighting on the ground.
The police investigation led to the arrest of Marquavia Jenkins, 21, and Willie Edwards, 18. The two were charged with aggravated battery and criminal mischief.
Deputies said in a press release they believe the fight was part of an ongoing dispute between the two parties.
