Lauderhill, FL – A Florida woman hit a Lauderhill police officer with her car while fleeing from a traffic stop earlier this month (video below).

The incident occurred in the 5500-block of Northwest 44th Street at approximately 8 p.m. on July 1, WSVN reported.

A Lauderhill police officer pulled 26-year-old Crystalee Tennant-Parnther over after he allegedly spotted her driving recklessly, according to WPLG.

Bodycam footage showed the officer speaking with Tennant-Parnther after he stopped her.

Police said Tennant-Parnther opened the driver’s door, but then refused to provide the officer with any information, WSVN reported.

“You don’t have the right,” the suspect told the officer after he asked to see her driver’s license.

Tennant-Parnther accelerated forward while the door was open and hit a fence, then reversed and hit the officer with the open car door, WSVN reported.

The officer immediately radioed for help as he tried to apprehend the violent suspect, bodycam footage showed.

Tennant-Parnther drove down the sidewalk, then sped away as the officer ran back to his patrol car.

Police said the fleeing suspect ultimately crashed into a tree, causing her car to overturn, WSVN reported.

The officer who was struck by the woman’s car ran to the wreckage and cut her seatbelt to free her from the vehicle, bodycam footage showed.

Tennant-Parnther was transported to a local hospital and was subsequently booked into the Broward County Main Jail on charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, failure to yield to traffic when turning left, driving with an expired driver’s license, and fleeing with disregard to people or property, WTVJ reported.

Her bond was set at $5,000.

The officer who was hit by the suspect’s car was taken to the Florida Medical Center for treatment of his injuries and has since been released to continue his recovery at home, according to WSVN.
