Santa Ana, CA – Santa Ana police are searching for a woman who walked into the back of a McDonald’s restaurant looking for ketchup, then violently attacked a McDonald’s manager (video below).

The incident occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on Oct. 27, when the woman barged into the fast-food restaurant through an employee-only door at the back of the building, the Santa Ana Police Department said in the video release.

The dining area of the business was already closed for the night, KCBS reported.

The woman demanded that someone give her ketchup as she made her way through the rear portion of the restaurant towards the drive-thru window.

The manager immediately informed the woman that she could not be in that portion of the building, and told her to leave, WHAM reported.

The suspect then violently charged the manager, and shoved her into a drink station while choking her, surveillance footage showed.

Another employee tried to pull the woman away, but the attacker then shoved the manager into the drive-thru window, where she continued to punch, kick, and choke the victim, police said.

Drinks spilled and items were knocked to the floor during the altercation, which ensued for approximately one minute before a man entered the restaurant through the employee-only door and guided the suspect out with him, KCBS reported.

“Had this male not intervened, could she have grabbed a knife? Could she have stabbed our victim?” Santa Ana Police Corporal Anthony Bertagna told the news outlet.

“These are just McDonald’s employees trying to get through the day [and to] make a living for their families,” Cpl. Bertagna said. “They don’t deserve to be physically assaulted.”

Police released surveillance footage of the vicious assault in an attempt to identify the suspect, who is described as a brown-haired Hispanic female between the ages of 20 and 25.
