Toronto, ON – Police arrested the man caught on video attacking a pro-life activist, and said he has a history of assaulting and badgering demonstrators with whom he disagrees (video below).

Jordan Hunt, 26, surrendered to the Toronto Police Service on Saturday, according to a press release put out by the agency.

Hunt was charged with eight counts of assault and seven counts of mischief under $5,000.

The Toronto police also revealed that Hunt has a history of badgering and attacking pro-life activists.

On Aug. 2, police responded to an assault call after a man on a bike tried to grab one of the pro-life protester’s signs and then shoved a person on a bike, the press release said.

Police said that Hunt was the attacker in that incident, too.

The video showed Hunt arguing with someone behind a cell phone camera.

“You can’t harm somebody else. You can’t get physical. You can disagree with people,” the man told Hunt in the video.

“If you’re gonna walk all over the world and harass people, then you get harassed back,” Hunt informed him.

“Yeah, I tried to knock your stupid billboard to the side,” Hunt admitted on the video.

“So if you don’t want me to f–k with your stuff, why are you trying to f–k with other people’s choices?” he raged at the man.

Hunt then pushed a woman into a pole before he fled the scene, the video showed.

In the Sept. 30 assault for which Hunt was arrested, Marie-Claire Bissonnette approached Hunt and started a conversation while taking a video.

“If somebody gets raped by somebody and they’re like, ‘I am a 16 years old and I can’t have this baby.’ Do you think they should keep it?’” Hunt asked in the video.

While Bissonnette was answering the question, Hunt jumped into an attack stance and then let go with a roundhouse kick to the woman’s head.

After he kicked her, Hunt said, “I meant to kick your phone,” according to the video.

Amy Wesselink, the manager of Noble Studio 101, said Hunt was a freelance contract hairstylist who worked for her but that she fired him when she learned of the attack.

Wesselink told The Washington Post that her salon has five women and his actions didn’t represent who they were as a studio.

Hunt had told Wesselink that he needed to leave town after mentioning a video circulating online, according to the Washington Post.

Wesselink asked for people to not take Hunt’s actions out on her business in an Instagram post.

“It has been brought to our attention that Jordan has been caught on camera assaulting an innocent bystander at a pro life rally,” the Instagram post stated. “We don’t condone his actions and he has been let go. We believe that everyone has a right to an opinion and the right to voice their opinion without fear of physical violence.”

Wesselink stated in another Instagram post that she has spent two days dealing with thousands of calls, texts and messages from around the world regarding Hunt’s kick.

“Fake appointments and threats against our business as well as hate filled messages attacking our values and motives has been the theme of many of those correspondences,” the post stated. “We did not ask for this attention. We are a collective of hardworking individuals simply supporting our families. Please respect this.”

The Toronto Sun reported that Hunt deleted his social media accounts.
