Charlottesville, VA – Antifa was captured on video attacking police and journalists Saturday night, but even the journalists’ own station refused to report on the violence.
The march started during the day with hundreds of students marching in protest of the white supremacists who held the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville one year ago.
Despite anti-police chants, the group was largely peaceful until nighttime when the crowd was dominated antifa chanting things such as, “ACAB, all cops are bastards!”
Antifa got in scuffles with police, and appeared to successfully extricate one of their comrades from the hands of police officers to save them from arrest.
NBC journalist Cal Perry tweeted that his crew was attacked by antifa who said, “F–k you, snitch ass news bitch. F–k you”.
Part of the assault was captured on video.
Despite their journalist being attacked, NBC news only reported it as “far left protesters heckling the media and chanting anti-police slogans.” The showed footage from Perry’s crew, but didn’t include the footage of them being attacked, according to Newsbusters.
Other media outlets largely ignored reporting on antifa all together.
CBS News reported that police being in body armor caused the violent environment, but didn’t report on any of the violence.
More antifa protests are scheduled for Sunday.
