Spanish Fort, AL – A woman who ordered Christmas gifts through Amazon posted a video of the Amazon delivery person stealing one of her packages after taking a photo of it to verify it had been delivered.
The homeowners said they received a refund from Amazon for their stolen package and filed a police report, according to WKRG. (Video below)
In the Nov. 11 Facebook post, Beverley Cameron uploaded a 2:18 minute video that shows a woman taking the packages out of a vehicle and delivering them to the door step.
At that point, the delivery woman took photos of the packages.
Then after she finished taking the photos, she picked up one package and carried it back out to her car and drove off.
“Wow! We had some Amazon deliveries today and at first I thought we got everything expected for today (some were split to be delivered Monday),” the Facebook post stated.
Cameron then stated that they realized an email with a delivery photo verification and it has a photo of a hoverboard they purchased. But the hoverboard was not on the porch.
Conveniently, Amazon is having a sale on Ring doorbell cameras and Blink indoor cameras right now.
Cameron then stated they went to look at the surveillance video they have installed and saw the delivery person take the package.
“I knew from past experiences that Amazon would make it right so I wasn’t worried about that,” Cameron said on Facebook Messenger, according to WKRG. “It is a Christmas gift so we have time to order another one. I’m sure I would have been much more upset if it was something I needed quickly. It is disturbing that Amazon is using ‘companies’ like this more and more instead of reliable and trustworthy delivery companies.”
