Goodyear, AZ – Newly-released documents showed that the 27-year-old married schoolteacher who allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old student courted the boy with text messages bearing declarations of love.

“OMG, I love you,” Brittany Zamora texted her 13-year-old victim from Las Brisas Academy Elementary School, according to KPNX.

“Omg lol you’re so cute baby,” Zamora wrote in another text, according to the New York Post. “I wish you could’ve stayed after with me.”

“Me too,” the teen replied. “I wish I could just hang out with you whenever we wanted.”

“I know baby!” Zamora wrote. “I want you every day with no time limit.”

“If I could quit my job and [have sex with] you all day long, I would,” Zamora texted to the boy, according to the Arizona Republic.

Zamora, a wife and trusted “teacher of the year,” was one of the most requested teachers at Las Brisas Academy Elementary School, KSAZ reported.

The alleged sexual assaults started after Zamora told her students that she wasn’t going to be at school one day, and asked them to text her because she was going to be bored.

The 13-year-old boy started texting her and that exchange led to flirting between the teacher and student.

Zamora and her student had at least four sexual encounters between February and March, including oral sex in her classroom after a talent show and another sexual encounter in her car, the New York Post reported.

The teacher also called the boy in the middle of the night and had him sneak out of his grandparents’ house for sexual liaisons in her car.

Eventually, the boy’s parents became suspicious and put a parental control app on his cellphone to monitor his messages.

The app alerted his parents to repeated use of the word “baby” and they confronted their son, asking if he’d had sex with his teacher, the New York Post reported.

He admitted that he had, and then his parents contacted the police.

With authorities secretly recording, the parents confronted the teacher during a telephone conversation.

During that call, Zamora apologized and offered to resign her teaching position, the New York Post reported.

She wasn’t able to answer the parents’ question about why she had become sexually involved with their son.

“I ask myself the same question,” Zamora replied, according to police reports. “I just got really close after I think everything went down and we’re like, ‘How could that happen?’… We just got close.”

“I don’t want to say stuff and have me recorded right now and bring this to court and have me go to jail for the rest of my life,” Zamora told them during the call, and offered to meet with them in person instead.

Police arrested Zamora shortly after they recorded the call, as she was on her way to work at the elementary school.

She has been in custody at the Maricopa County jail since her arrest.

Zamora has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including felony sexual conduct with a minor and molesting a child, and is awaiting trial, according to the New York Post.

The New York Post also reported that three female students had written the school principal a letter about Zamora’s inappropriate behavior with the 13 year old on Feb. 7, two weeks before the sexual assaults began.

However, Las Brisas Academy Principal Tim Dickey admitted that he only spoke to one of the students about her concerns, and dismissed the letter without attempting to speak to the other two girls.

Dickey said he later realized that he had made a mistake, according to KPNX.
