Columbus, OH – The porn actress who has claimed she slept with President Donald Trump in 2006, and was paid to keep quiet about it, was arrested during a performance at a Columbus strip club just after midnight on Thursday.
Stephanie Clifford, who strips by the name of Stormy Daniels, was performing a show as part of her “Make American Horny Again” tour at the adult entertainment club Sirens when she was alleged to have touched three different police officers in an illegal manner, according to WCMH.
Court documents said Clifford forced patrons’ faces into her breasts and used her bare breasts to smack patrons during her performance, WCMH reported.
Clifford also fondled the breasts and buttocks of female patrons in the strip club, including a female police officer, according to the probable cause affidavit filed with the Franklin County court early on Thursday morning.
An Ohio law passed in 2007, known as the “Ohio Stripper Bill,” instituted a no-touch rule between strippers and club patrons. The law prohibited nude, or partially nude, dancers from touching customers, and vice versa, FOX News reported.
A Columbus Police Department spokesperson confirmed that Clifford had been arrested after touching three different officers during the same performance, WCMH reported.
Clifford has sued President Trump and his former personal lawyer Michael Cohen over a nondisclosure agreement that she signed in which she agreed to keep quiet about the alleged affair.
Her attorney, Michael Avenatti, fired off a series of tweets early on July 12, and claimed that Clifford’s arrest was a setup and entirely political.
“This was a complete set up,” Avenatti said. “It’s absurd that law enforcement resources are being spent to conduct a sting operation related to customers touching performers in a strip club in a non-sexual manner.”
However, the complaint filed by the officers did not describe “non-sexual” activities, and said that Clifford touched the patrons – not the other way around.
Clifford was booked and charged with three misdemeanor offenses, WCMH reported. Her attorney said she will plead not guilty to all of them.
Court documents showed Clifford had posted bail and was scheduled to appear for her arraignment on Friday, WCMH reported.
Her attorney announced that her remaining show in Columbus, scheduled for Thursday night, had been cancelled, and apologized to Clifford’s fans.
Sirens nightclub has refused to comment on the incident.
