Washington, DC – The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) confirmed on Wednesday that the white powder found in the West Wing of the White House on Sunday night tested positive, multiple times, for cocaine.

The bag of a white powdery substance was discovered just before 8:45 p.m. on July 2 and the White House was evacuated, WTOP reported.

The DC Fire Department’s HAZMAT team was called to the White House to investigate.

The fire department performed a rapid test on the powder and discovered it was actually a bag of the illegal narcotic cocaine, not Anthrax or another poisonous substance, WTOP reported.

They took the sample to a lab for further testing.

“The item was sent for further evaluation and an investigation into the cause and manner of how it entered the White House is pending,” a spokesman for the Secret Service said in a statement.

Initial reports said the cocaine had been found in the White House library, an area that President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, frequents with his laptop.

The self-admitted drug addict and his parents were away at Camp David for the weekend when the discovery was made, FOX News reported.

Audio recordings of DC fire radio traffic showed that the HAZMAT team reported having found a substance containing cocaine in the White House Library.

Despite the recorded radio traffic, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre later claimed that the cocaine was found in a “heavily-travelled area” of the West Wing that was accessible to lots of staff and even tour guides.

But Jean-Pierre wouldn’t comment on whether the White House wanted to see whomever brought the drugs in be prosecuted.

Critics on social media quickly pointed to Hunter Biden as the likely culprit for having brought drugs in the White House and made lots of jokes about it.

But administration officials said that was impossible because Hunter Biden had left for Camp David on Friday with his parents, FOX News reported.
