Superior, AZ – A police commander was fired after his department found a bodycam video of him having sex with a woman in his office.

A Pinal County Sheriff’s Office report said the videos were found in a folder called “FUN TIME” that was saved on the computer of former Superior Police Commander Anthony Doran’s department-issued computer, KPNX reported.

The sheriff’s report described a nearly four-minute video dated April of 2017 that showed then-Commander Doran wearing a uniform shirt with the Superior police patch, but no pants or underwear, Heavy reported.

“Anthony is sitting in an office chair and straddling him is a naked adult female (who is not a police employee),” the report said.

In the video, it appeared the commander had removed his bodycam and placed it in a position to record himself having sex with a woman in his office desk chair.

Several times during the recording, then-Commander Doran reached over and readjusted the aim of the bodycam to better capture the sexual activity, the video showed.

Investigators said they believed the commander downloaded the videos and saved them.

The folder was found by an office secretary on a jump drive that looked like a police radio which was connected to then-Commander Doran’s desktop computer, FOX News reported.

In the same folder, investigators found 36GB of additional pornographic videos and nude selfies of the police commander.

The Arizona Republic reported that Commander Doran was the second highest-ranking official on the Superior Police Department’s nine-man force at the time the video was filmed.

Investigators also found naked pictures of the commander’s five-year-old daughter in the “FUN TIME” folder, prompting “suspicion that some grooming behavior may be present,” the sheriff’s department’s report said.

He tried to explain away the special folder of pornography by claiming he wasn’t on duty when the video was filmed. He also said the files were stored on a jump drive that “had nothing to do with work,” according to the Arizona Republic.

Superior PD said they fired Doran in April and refused to comment further on the matter, KPNX reported.

The former police commander has not been charged with any crimes in connection with the videos or images found on his computer.

The information about Doran’s firing only became public after someone filed a civil complaint against the Superior police in August alleging he had been beaten by several officers and falsely arrested in 2016. Then-Commander Doran was one of the officers named in the complaint, according to FOX News.

KPNX reported that this was not the first time Doran was in trouble for inappropriate sexual activity on the clock.

In July of 2013, when he was working as a deputy for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Doran was busted for fondling a woman in his patrol car while he was on duty, the Arizona Republic reported.

Then he was caught trying to delete the explicit evidence from his cell phone.

The sheriff’s department conducted an internal affairs investigation of the allegations and Doran had his peace officer certification suspended by the state officer standards board for six months as a result of their findings, according to KPNX.

The civil complaint filed against the Superior Police Department accused the department of hiring officers with checkered professional histories to save money, FOX News reported.

“The town hires substandard officers with extensive misconduct records to save money. Once the town hires these substandard, ‘second-chance’ officers, it fails to appropriately train/retrain them,” the complaint read.

The Arizona Republic reported that most of the Superior police force’s nine officers had been fired or seriously disciplined by other departments before they were hired by Superior PD.
