Rancho Cordova, CA – The man who murdered 27-year-old Sacramento County Deputy Mark Stasyuk was no stranger to law enforcement.

Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones identified 38-year-old Anton Lemon Moore as the man who fatally shot Deputy Stasyuk, Deputy Julie Robertson, and a bystander, KCRA reported.

The shootings occurred after the deputies responded to a call for shots fired at the Pep Boys near Folsom Boulevard and McGregor Drive at around 1:44 p.m. on Sept. 17, according to KCRA.

Deputies Stasyuk and Robertson responded to a call about a problem customer, and when they arrived on the scene, Moore engaged them in a gunfight.

The deputies returned fire when Moore began shooting.

Deputy Stasyuk was shot in the upper body and died from his injuries.

Deputy Robertson was shot in the arm and was expected to make a full recovery. The wounded bystander was also expected to survive.

A second citizen was injured in the incident but not shot. Their condition was not released.

Moore fled the Pep Boys and was shot multiple times by two other deputies. He was captured in the parking lot of a nearby furniture store, the Sacramento Bee reported.

The suspect was transported to University of California – Davis Medical Center where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. He remains hospitalized.

Moore, who also goes by the alias Anton Lemon Paris, has a criminal record including gun crimes that dated back to 1998, according to Sacramento Superior Court records

“He was no stranger to us,” Sacramento County Sheriff Sergeant Shaun Hampton told KCRA. “He was no stranger to Sacramento area law enforcement.”

Court records showed Moore was arrested in April of 2016 and charged with two misdemeanors for having a concealed and loaded weapon, the Sacramento Bee reported.

In that case, one charge was dismissed. He pleaded no contest to the other charge and was sentenced to 15 days in jail and three years of informal probation, court records showed.

Moore was arrested for three misdemeanors in 2007, two for domestic violence and one for disturbing the peace.

Both of the domestic violence charges were dismissed in August of 2008, and the judge placed Moore on three years of informal probation, the Sacramento Bee reported.

In 2003, he was charged and tried for three felony counts for assault with a deadly weapon and firing a weapon at an inhabited dwelling or vehicle, court records showed.

A jury acquitted Moore of the assault charges, and the third charge was dismissed, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Two misdemeanor assault and battery charges in an unrelated case were also dismissed in 2003.

Moore faced a separate case in 2003 where two misdemeanor charges related to assault and battery were eventually dismissed.

He was arrested in Sacramento in March of 1998, but both charges of disturbing the peace and resisting arrest were ultimately dismissed, the court records showed.

Moore considers himself a rapper and producer, and goes by the rap name of “Mista Flow,” the Sacramento Bee reported.

He has a YouTube channel with more than 300 videos of him, many of them which show him freestyle rapping in a Sacramento Kings jersey.

There are several videos featured on Moore’s social media accounts that talk about weapons and threaten police.

One February video posted to the Mista Flow Instagram account showed a man holding his semi-automatic rifle and bragging about it. The rapper’s face was not visible in the video.

“Let them motherf–kers know what it is. I slide the 30 in that motherf–ker like it’s nothing,” the artist rapped, presumably referring to a .30 Carbine cartridge used in some rifles, the Sacramento Bee reported.

“Police getting knocked out compilation” was the title of another February upload on Moore’s YouTube channel.

“I hit whoever, any time I feel like I have the necessity to do so,” the man said in the video as he watched a police officer get kicked in the chest, the Sacramento Bee reported.

Sgt. Hampton said Moore would be formally charged when he was released from the hospital.
