Seguin, TX – Seguin Police Department stopped an armed felon wearing tactical clothing and a surgical face shield on Sunday, who claimed that he was going to church to fulfill a prophecy.

According to Officer Tanya Brown, the incident happened just before 7:00 a.m. for a report of a man with a gun in the 2400 block of W. Kingsbury St.

An off-duty officer was the first on scene, and saw the man wearing “tactical style clothing,” a surgical face shield, and carrying a loaded handgun with extra ammunition.

Additional officers arrived and identified the suspect as 33-year-old Tony Albert.

Albert, a convicted felon, said he was going to church to fulfill a prophecy. He did not identify which church he was en route to or give further details on the “prophecy.”
