West Palm Beach, FL – Singer Chris Brown was arrested on an outstanding felony battery warrant as he walked off stage following a Thursday night concert.

Brown, 29, was taken into custody at the Coral Sky Amphitheater at the South Florida Fairgrounds, Tampa Police Department spokesman Stephen Hegarty told CNN.

He was released from the Palm Beach County Jail on $2,000 bond approximately an hour later.

The incident stemmed from an altercation at a Tampa club in April of 2017, Page Six reported.

Photographer Bennie Vines Jr. told police that the club, AJA Channelside, hired him to take pictures during an event that Brown was hosting at the venue.

Vines alleged that, as he was doing the job he was paid to do, Brown “sucker punched” him and cut his lip, People reported.

Brown left the club before police arrived.

In the wake of the assault, the club released a Facebook statement apologizing to its patrons.

“Incidents like the ones caused by Chris Brown and his team are very sad to see,” AJA Channelside wrote. “As everyone witnessed he showed up to the club at around 1:30am. After only a few minutes of being there, Chris Brown himself and his team assaulted our club photographer and proceeded to walk out of the venue.”

“AJA Channelside and our employees apologize for the inconvenience,” the club said. “Assault charges were pressed and we are dealing with the proper authorities accordingly.”

It wasn’t the first time Brown had been accused of behaving violently.

In 2009, he was arrested for brutally beating his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna, CNN reported.

He was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats, and was placed on probation for five years as a result of those convictions.

Brown and his bodyguard were both arrested on felony assault charges in Washington, D.C. in 2013, following a fight outside a hotel. Brown’s offense was reduced to a misdemeanor the next day.

In late 2013, Brown smashed out the window of his mother’s vehicle during a family session at a rehabilitation facility, and was court-ordered to enter a different rehabilitation program, CNN reported.
