Kansas City, MO – Two police officers have been shot in Kansas City, and the gunman is still on the loose.

The Kansas City Star reports that the shooting happened near U.S. 40 and Manchester.

The condition of the two shot officers has not been released at this time.

The suspect was able to escape and it still on the run.

A massive manhunt is underway for the gunman. No description of the gunman has been released at this time.

UPDATE: At least 50 gunshots have been heard in the area of 28th street during the manhunt, according to The Kansas City Star.

UPDATE: A third officer has been shot. Suspect still running.
