Tempe, AZ – Two Tempe police officers were shot Monday evening.
The two officers were conducting a follow-up on a domestic violence call when they made contact with the suspect in a residence at Baseline Rd and Mill Ave, according to a Tempe police sergeant.
A witness said that during the incident, a witness heard an officer order the suspect to take his hands out of his pants.
At some point, the suspect fled and shot both officers.
Officers were able to contain the suspect and and working to make contact with him.
The wounded officers have only been identified as two females. They are believed to have non-life threatening injuries and have been transported to the hospital.
Police advise that there is no danger to the public at this time while the suspect is contained.
UPDATE: The bad man is dead. No further details at this time.
