Chicago, IL – Two Chicago police officers were fatally struck by a train Monday night, according to Chicago Tribune.
The officers were investigating a “shots fired” call that ShotSpotter picked up, according to Chicago Tribune.
The officers were surveilling the area of 103rd Street and Dauphin Avenue around 6:20 p.m. when they were struck by an outbound South Shore train.
The exact circumstances of the collision have not been officially released at this time.
