Los Angeles, CA – A man is barricaded in Trader Joe’s with hostages Saturday afternoon following a police pursuit.
Details are still very preliminary, but the incident is believed to have started earlier when officers pursued a suspect, possibly in a stolen vehicle, believed to have shot his girlfriend, according to CBS Los Angeles.
The suspect crashed his car into a pole in front of the Trader Joe’s near Hyperion and Rowena. He then went inside and shots were fired inside.
News helicopters overhead have captured officers evacuating children from the area.
There is an ongoing standoff in progress.
