Wellington, FL – Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a shooting at The Mall at Wellington Greens, Monday night at around 6 p.m.

During the incident, a gunfight broke out between the suspect and a deputy. A police K9 and the suspect were both shot in the gunfight., according to WPTV.

It has not been confirmed at this time how the incident started.

Information is preliminary as details are still developing.

UPDATE: Wounded K9 is at the vet. The suspect is at the hospital. At this time, it does not appear that anybody else was hit in the gunfight.
