Pittsburgh, PA – Pittsburgh police are actively handling an active shooter in progress at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill.

At least seven people are dead and at least two police officers are among those shot, according to KDKA.

KDKA reports that the shooter is still exchanging gunfire with police from the third floor of the building.

At the time of the shooting, the synagogue was full for Saturday service.

The victim count is expected to be much larger once officers are able to neutralize the shooter.
