Harris County, TX – A Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy and two officers from the Texas Attorney General’s office were shot Tuesday afternoon while attempting to serve a felony warrant.
The three officers were working to take Daniel Trevino, 25, into custody on a felony warrant at 5013 Hatrick Rd when he opened fire, hitting the officers.
After the shooting, Trevino fled the scene and his location is unknown. Anybody who sees Trevino is being asked to call 911 immediately.
UPDATE: Trevino took an officer’s weapon and is possibly barricaded in the home on scene, according to KYTX.
However, authorities are still asking the public to report his location, so it appears that they are not sure if he is inside of the residence.
One unidentified suspect has been taken into custody in relation to the shooting while Trevino is still at large.
KYTX is reporting a fourth officer is wounded after crashing a motorcycle while responding to the shooting. His condition has not been reported.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez is reporting that all three shot officers are awake and alert and are expected to survive their wounds.
Trevino has a history of drug charges as well as attacking his girlfriend, and law enforcement.
UPDATE: The suspect is still believed to be barricaded. No contact has been made with him and it’s unknown if he was wounded in the gunfight.
The motorcycle officer is in stable condition.
