Armed Woman Attacks Cops

Broken Arrow, OK – A 29-year-old woman tried to break into a home armed with knives and a bat and then turned on police and tried to grab an officer’s gun from his holster.

Tranitsie Crook was trying to assault the residents when police responded to the call early Thursday.

The arriving officers ordered her to drop the knives and bat, according to KOTV.

Cook refused and instead broke a glass door and tried to get into a home.

Crook who tried to use her weapons against police as they tased her and physically restrained her, according to police.

During the scuffle, she tried to grab a gun from an officer’s holster, according to KOTV.

Crook was arrested and taken to the hospital. She had sustained come of her injuries prior to officers arriving, according to Broken Arrow Police Officer James Koch.

Crook was booked into jail and ong charges of first-degree burglary, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon on a police officer and obstructing justice, ,according to KOTV. Crook’s bond was set at $30,500.

This wasn’t Crook’s first run-in with the police.

In 2017, Crook was arrested after she fired a gun inside a Tulsa motel and told police she fired it to make sure it worked, according to KOTV.

Authorities said that there was a gunshot and police saw three people run out of one of the motel rooms in December of 2017. The officers saw that Crook remained in the room so they called the room and asked her to leave. When Crook left, the officers found a gun on her.

Crook was arrested and charged with reckless handling of a firearm.
