Lima, OH – Police have issued a multi-state alert in search of four children abducted from Ohio who could be on their way to Florida with their noncustodial mother and her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend, 39-year-old Charles Perkins, should be considered armed and dangerous.

He has active warrants for his arrest, and has been abusive to the children in the past, police said.

The abduction occurred on North Main Street at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, WJXX reported.

Lima police issued the alert a short while later.

The couple may be transporting the children in a dark blue 2000 Chrysler Voyager van bearing Ohio license plate FMQ3175. The vehicle has a white passenger door.

The mother, 40-year-old Marianne Merritt, is described as having red hair, green eyes, and weighing approximately 210 pounds.

Perkins is described as being five feet, five inches tall, and weighing 164 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

The alert also included photos of the abducted children.

Damara Croley, 13, is five feet, three inches tall, and weighs approximately 180 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing Spiderman web pants and a red “OSU” shirt.

Benjamin Karl-Leland Croley, 12, is five feet, one inch tall, and weighs roughly 120 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing pants with yellow smiling emojis on them.

Patience Wilson, 9, is four feet, five inches tall, and weighs approximately 80 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing dark blue or black leggings and a white shirt.

Damien Wilson, 8, is four feet, five inches, and weighs 111 pounds. He has blonde hair, blue eyes, and was last seen wearing black shorts and a blue shirt.

It was unclear when the couple may have left Ohio with the children, which route they may take, or for which part of Florida they may be headed.
