Brooklyn, OH – A 11-year-old boy from Cleveland led police on his second-high speed chase in 13 months on Sunday after his mother took his PlayStation away.

The boy was arrested by police after he crashed into a parked truck after leading three different police officers on a chase that were all eventually called off after the boy turned off the lights to the SUV while driving at speeds as high as 90 mph, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The incident started at about 10:45 p.m. when the boy and his mother got into an argument.

The mother took away his video game system and then went to bed. She then noticed the her car keys were missing.

She later got a call from the boy’s father saying he saw his son driving his mother’s 2013 Dodge Durango out on the road, according to police reports.

The boy’s father chased after his son but the boy tried to hide in a former Brooklyn fire station.

A Brooklyn Police Department officer noticed the SUV and stopped to see if the driver needed help. However, the boy then took off and drove the wrong way down a street and went through stop lights and was weaving in and out of traffic, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The police officer chased after the boy into Cleveland until the boy turned off the lights of his SUV while at speeds as high as 90 mph, according to police reports. The police officer lost sight of the SUV, but another Brooklyn police officer picked up the chase. The second officer also lost track of the SUV.

A third police officer, this one from Parma Heights, spotted the SUV and chased after it before it was called off.

About 25 minutes later, the boy crashed into the truck and his mother’s SUV flipped over after the crash.

Police released a video that showed parts of the chase.

After the crash, the 11-year-old boy walked out of the SUV and fell down, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The boy was taken to the hospital and treated for scrapes and cuts and was released. He is being housed in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center.

No charges had been filed as of Nov. 5.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer stated that police reports said the 11-year-old boy has attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, bipolar disorder, and oppositional defiant disorder.

The boy took police on his first high-speed chase on Oct. 26, 2017. In that instance, the boy was waiting for his sister to take him to school when he stole his mother’s car and sped off.
