Hundreds of law enforcement officers have been participating in a massive manhunt for Joseph Jakubowski for the past week.
According to NY Daily News, Joseph Jakubowski posted a video on social media of him mailing a manifesto to President Trump on April 14th. Shortly thereafter, he broke into a Janesville gun shop, Armageddon Supplies, and stole 16 high-end guns along with suppressors.
Half an hour after the gun store burglary, Jakubowski’s vehicle was found nearby, fully engulfed in flames.
In the video of Jakubowski mailing his manifesto, he tells the postal worker, “You will never forget this face, ever.”
“It’s really a long laundry list of injustices that he believes the government and society and the upper class have put forward on to the rest of the citizens,” Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden said. “It’s just an overview that he feels that the government, and law enforcement in particular, are acting as terrorists and are enslaving the people and creating this environment that he finds unacceptable.”
Jakubowski also referenced dying by the hand of President Trump and said that he wanted to save everyone by taking out one politician at a time.
Police say that he has also previously made threats towards schools, prompting schools in the area to shut down while Jakubowski was at large.
After the manhunt began, a letter sent by somebody claiming to be Joseph Jakubowski which threatened violence against churches. It is not clear if that letter was authentic.
The manhunt also caused Gov. Scott Walker to cancel an annual Easter egg hunt scheduled for Saturday.
Thank you to everybody who helped keep Joseph Jakubowski locked down by spreading his information everywhere, and thank you to the officers who took this suspected terrorist into custody.
