VIDEO: Wendy’s Employee Facing Murder Charges For Attack On Customer

Prescott Valley, AZ – A 67-year-old man who was attacked by a Wendy’s employee when he complained about his order died on Monday and now the man who killed him is facing murder charges (video below).

Police said the incident occurred at about 4:41 p.m. on July 26 when a customer at the Wendy’s located on Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley complained about his food to 35-year-old Antoine Kendrick, who was working behind the counter, MEAWW reported.

Security footage from behind the counter at Wendy’s showed that Kendrick walked around the counter and attacked the customer, unprovoked.

The video showed the employee delivered a sucker-punch to the much-older customer’s head and knocked him unconscious.

“Oh, wow that was a pretty hard hit,” another customer who witnessed the attack told KTVK. “That was a Mike Tyson hit. The customer didn’t touch him, so he had no right to touch the customer, period, end of the story. I just think that’s horrible and wish it didn’t happen. It puts a bad light on our entire society.”

Prescott Valley police said the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority responded to the scene and tended to the unconscious victim, MEAWW reported.

The man was airlifted to a Phoenix hospital in critical condition, KTVK reported.

The 67 year old never regained consciousness and died from the head injury sustained in the attack three weeks later on Aug. 15, KTVK reported.

Authorities have not released the victim’s name to the public.

Upon the customer’s death, Kendrick was charged with second-degree murder, KTVK reported.
