Noblesville, IN – A big white cow blocked traffic on Saturday as it made a getaway dash to a Chick-Fil-A across the street with officers in pursuit (video below).
The dramatic police chase was captured on video as Noblesville police officers tried to corral the large animal.
Athena Hopkins shared a video of the unusual incident that occurred Saturday evening in the middle of traffic.
“Who loses a cow in Noblesville?” Hopkins wondered aloud in the video.
The video showed the cow bolted across several lanes of traffic and up onto the sidewalk in front of a Chick-Fil-A restaurant in the Hamilton Town Center, KUTV reported. The fast-food chain is known for its pithy advertising campaigns by cows urging humans to “eat mor chiken’.”
“Hey, is it like a promo for Chick-Fil-A? He’s running to Chick-Fil-A,” someone in the car with Hopkins asked.
The video showed the cow heading for the Chick-Fil-A restaurant as an officer parked his vehicle and continued the pursuit on foot over the berm.
The Noblesville Police Department (NPD) posted pictures of the incident on their official Facebook page, and asked that anyone who had taken pictures or video of the incident please share it with them.
“NPD was able to ‘run with the bulls’ last night,” the post said. “We were chasing this running wild bovine all over the east side. If you got a picture of our cowboy adventure comment with it! We love to see it.”
