VIDEO: Man Sitting In Driveway Is Suddenly Attacked By Two Gunmen

Jackson County, MO – Authorities are looking for two men seen on a Ring security video on Tuesday as they pulled guns on a man who was just sitting in his driveway (video below).

The incident occurred on Aug. 24 in Salem East, a neighborhood that is located outside Independence city limits in unincorporated Jackson County, WDAF reported.

A Ring security camera mounted on the victim’s house showed what happened in terrifying detail.

The video showed a man sitting in a camp chair at the edge of the driveway talking to a woman with a toddler on a little bike.

Suddenly, a silver, four-door pickup truck pulled into the cul-de-sac and stopped directly in front of the man.

A man jumped out of the passenger seat and the man in the chair jumped up and ran away, with his chair hanging from his butt.

The video showed he tripped and fell on the lawn.

The man chasing him had a gun in his hand and he caught up with the victim.

The would-be victim engaged his pursuer in hand-to-hand combat as he got off the ground and ran for his garage, the video showed.

The armed man doubled back around the cars in the driveway as another man jumped out of the backseat of the pickup truck to help him.

The video showed they ran up the center of the driveway, between two parked cars, with pistols in their hands.

Then they stopped short, seeing the man they were chasing had reached safety, the video show.

At that point, both men turned and ran back to the waiting pickup truck and fled the scene.

The video showed that while the first man was chasing his victim, the woman with the child picked up both the boy and his bike and ran across the street to safety at a neighbor’s house while the incident unfolded.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, WDAF reported.

Deputies said that anyone with information, or who could help authorities identify the gunman, should contact Jackson County Sheriff’s Detective Joshua Cox at 816-541-8017 ext. 72231.
