VIDEO: Chicago Man Attacks Cops As Horrified Children Watch At Gizmos Fun Factory

Video: Carlos Kehl Arrested At Gizmos Fun Factory For Assaulting Officers

BY OFFICER BLUE

Orland Park, IL – Chicago Man, Carlos Kehl, 33, was arrested after assaulting officers working security at Gizmos Fun Factory in Orland Park. Part of the incident was captured on cell phone video (below.)

Carlos Kehl was inside Gizmos Fun Factory with his children when he got agitated about waiting in line. He loudly started yelling and using profanity. The manager asked him to calm down and watch his language, due to all of the children around.

Kehl continued to act disorderly, so the manager asked security to escort him out. Two off-duty police officers were working security at the time, and when they responded, he told them, “make me leave,” according to Chicago Tribune.

The video starts mid-fight out front of Gizmos where Carlos Kehl could be seen holding one of the officers in a head-lock with the other officer down on the ground. The officer in the head-lock broke free and then sprayed Kehl with pepper spray as he ran away. A little girl could be heard screaming, “Daddy!”

Kehl wasn’t done yet though. After briefly running away from the spray, Kehl came right back at the officers yelling, “I ain’t no Trayvon Martin. I’m white and black!” Kehl spit in the face of one of the officers.

The officers, working in an off-duty security capacity, called Orland Park police and maintained their distance until on-duty officers arrived. While they were waiting, Kehl continually tried to engage the officers again, hurling insults at them while a female held him back.

When on-duty police officers arrived, Kehl was quickly taken into custody.

Carlos Kehl is being charged with two counts of aggravated battery, one count of disorderly conduct, and one count of assault. His bail was set at $500,000.

You can see the video of the altercation below. WARNING: Profanity.
