Chicago, IL – Officers in Chicago were attacked by a mob before other protesters stopped the attack.
The location of the incident isn’t clear, but officers appeared to be trying to make an arrest when the mob decided to un-arrest the suspect.
As officers fought the people interfering, a male officer was pulled down and dragged by a group.
People in the mob then appeared to grab the handcuffs from a female officer, and dragged her as she fought to hold on.
As the officers were on the ground, people in the crowd ran up to hit the officers.
The attack ended when several people in the crowd created some distance around the officers so they could get up.
It’s not clear what injuries the officers sustained in the attack, but it appears the crowd was successful during their fight to un-arrest the suspect.
