Philadelphia, PA – Black Lives Matter protesters attacked one of their own in Philadelphia after hundreds of antifa showed up to protest a far-right rally that didn’t happen (video below).
Protesters showed up en masse at Clark Park on Sept. 19 to demonstrate at a Proud Boys’ rally that didn’t materialize, West Philly Local reported.
Elijah Schaffer, who has covered riots nationwide extensively, posted several videos that showed how the incident unfolded.
“A protester comes alongside creator @realJamesKlug with a bat and hits the ground next to him with force,” Schaffer tweeted.
“The crowd then turns on the man and confuses him for being a Trump supporter, calling him a Nazi,” he explained in the post.
“They proceeded to destroy his car with hammers as he escaped,” Schaffer added.
The video showed a masked protester arguing with others in the group who surrounded him.
“Get the f–k out of here. Get the f–k out of here. What are you doing?” one of the protesters asked.
In the video, the man appeared to be trying to explain that he was one of them.
“Put that s–t the f–k up,” someone else ordered the man carrying the baseball bat.
The protester with the bat who had been misidentified as a Trump supporter backed away from the encroaching mob and appeared afraid to turn his back to walk away, the video showed.
As he backed away from the group, multiple members of the crowd followed him.
Schaffer continued to film as the mob chased the man to his black SUV with Massachusetts license plates that was parked on the street nearby.
Video showed the man had left a dog locked inside his vehicle.
Schaffer’s second video showed that after the man got inside his vehicle to leave, protesters surrounded the SUV and smashed out the windows and kicked in the door panels.
The frightened dog stuck his head through the broken back window, the video showed.
“Antifa mistakingly attacks an Anti-Trump protester calling him a Nazi Destroys his car while he tried to escape after he tried to assault content creator @realJamesKlug w/ a [bat],” Schaffer tweeted.
“A dog is in the back, clearly terrified, & barks as black bloc smashes his window,” he wrote.
The video showed protesters in dark hoodies with hammers smashed the window of the SUV and continued to vandalize the vehicle until the driver was able to pull away.
“F–k you and your dog!” F–k off!” one of the antifa yelled.
“Go back to Massachusetts!” another yelled at the back of the fleeing vehicle.
