Vandenberg AFB, CA – People in southern California and Arizona started calling 911 after witnessing a SpaceX rocket launch on Friday night (videos below.)
The white streak left a jellyfish-shaped pattern, leaving many to be concerned about UFOs or a nuclear strike from North Korea, according to Daily Mail.
The SpaceX Falcon 9 booster lifted off from Vandenberg Air Force Base shortly before 5:30 p.m. carrying satellites for Iridium Communications.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeted a video of the takeoff quipping that it was a “Nuclear alien UFO from North Korea.”
Actress Jenna Fischer called it a “weird jellyfish thing.”
In the event of an actual alien invasion or nuclear missile strike, calling 911 is unlikely to help you.
