URGENT: Nationwide Manhunt For Killer Who Murdered Deputy, Stole His Cruiser

There is a nationwide manhunt for John Williams after he allegedly murdered Somerset County Corporal Eugene Cole.

Norridgewock, Maine – A nationwide manhunt is underway for a killer who murdered a Somerset County deputy overnight and stole his patrol car.

Early Wednesday morning, a suspect fatally shot Somerset County Corporal Eugene Cole and stole his patrol car, according to WCSH.

The suspect was identified as 29-year-old John Williams of Madison.

After stealing the police car, the suspect drove to Cumberland Farms on Waterville Road in Norridgewock at around 1:45 a.m., according to WCSH.

He then robbed the Cumberland Farms and fled the area on foot.

Williams has not been seen from since. He should be considered heavily armed.

He is described as 5′ 6″, 120 lbs, brown hair ~~in ponytail~~, and blue eyes. UPDATE: Footage from the scene shows no sign of a ponytail.
