Washington, D.C. – President Trump is sending in the National Guard after pro-Trump rioters overran the Capitol Building Wednesday.

Virginia State Troopers and the Virginia National Guard are also on their way to D.C. to assist.

Tens of thousands of people showed up the the Save America rally Wednesday to protest the election results.

The rioters could be seen deploying pepper spray on officers who tried to hold them back.

The rioters stopped the certification of the Electoral College votes as the building was evacuated.

One person was shot during the incident and is in critical condition, according to ABC3340.
