Washington, D.C. – FOX News’ Chad Pergram, from his official Twitter Account, posted a picture of the disgraceful painting that has been under public scrutiny and outrage, but above it was an American Thin Blue Line Flag affixed to the wall. Chad Pergram’s tweet read, “A Blue Lives Matter flag is now affixed to the wall above the controversial ‘pigs as police’ painting on Capitol Hill.”
FOX Business’ Lou Dobbs had Congressman Brian Babin on his show to discuss the anti-police ‘police-pigs’ painting that Congressman Lacy Clay repeatedly hangs with the apparent intent to defame all Law Enforcement Officers.
Rep. Lacy Clay’s office selected the painting at the winner of an art contest and had it hung in the U.S. Capitol. The painting had hung largely unnoticed for about seven months and is part of a student art competition on display along a Capitol Hill corridor. When the subject of the painting became apparent, many groups and individuals expressed outrage and demanded that it be removed. Rep. Lacy refused to remove the painting.
Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-California,then removed the painting from the wall and returned it to Rep. Lacy Clay. Rep. Clay tried to have Rep. Hunter arrested for “theft” and re-hung the painting in a widely publicized ceremony by the Congressional Black Caucus. Since then Rep. Doug Lamborn, R-Colorado, Rep. Brian Babin, R-Texas, and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-California followed the lead of Rep. Duncan Hunter in removing the painting from the wall, prompting Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, Rep. Cedric Richmond, D-Louisiana, to say “We may just have to kick somebody’s ass and stop them.” Rep. Clay rehung the painting each time.
