Stacey Dash Arrested For Domestic Battery

Stacey Dash was arrested by Pasco County sheriff's deputies on Sunday night.

New Port Richey, FL – Hollywood actress Stacey Dash has been charged with domestic battery following a brawl with her husband and his three children on Sunday night.

The 52-year-old “Clueless” star called the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) 911 center at approximately 7:45 p.m., and told the dispatcher that her husband, Jeffrey Marty, had placed her in a chokehold, WFTS reported.

“I’ve been assaulted by my husband,” Dash said in the 911 call, according to Yahoo Entertainment. “We were all arguing, I asked his daughter to get out of my face because she was in my face, I pushed her back, he put me into a chokehold.”

When officers arrived at the apartment where the altercation took place, they noticed that the victim “sustained red scratch marks to his left upper arm from being pushed,” police noted in the arrest report, according to WFTS.

Dash also allegedly slapped the victim in the face.

It is unclear whether the alleged victim was Marty or one of his teenaged children.

Bodycam footage showed Dash as she calmly complied with the officers at the scene.

Dash was subsequently arrested for domestic battery, and has since bonded out of jail, WFTS reported.

On Monday, Dash’s manager issued a statement alleging that reports about the actress’s arrest had been “blown out of proportion,” Yahoo Entertainment reported.

The statement referred to the incident as a “marital dispute,” and noted that “no charges were pressed by her husband.”

Dash was peacefully arrested “as a formality,” her manager claimed.

Marty also showed up to court “on her behalf” on Monday, and she was subsequently released from jail, according to the statement.

“No further legal action is pending,” Dash’s manager said.

“The marital dispute, while personal and unfortunate, has since been blown out of proportion. An earlier report on TMZ.com said her manager told TMZ that she was attacked by her husband – both the sources relationship to Ms. Dash and the events of the evening were misrepresented,” the statement read.

“Ms. Dash is a domestic abuse survivor from a previous relationship and has championed for other abuse victims to speak up,” her manager added. “The untruthfulness being reported saddens Ms. Dash and her family – no further comments will be made and we ask that Ms. Dash and her family’s privacy will be respected.”
