Real Housewives Star Robbed At Home Hours After Episode Airs Showing Valuables

Los Angeles, CA – Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley was the victim of a home invasion by three armed men on Wednesday night at her Encino Hills home, just hours after she bragged about her designer wardrobe on television.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said the incident occurred at about 10:50 p.m. on Oct. 27 when the housewife was home with her children 7-year-old Jagger and 5-year-old Phoenix, FOX News reported.

A source closed to Kemsley told the Daily Mail that the realty television star had just returned from a trip to London for her nephew’s wedding.

Her husband, PK Kemsley, was still in London when the home invasion occurred in Los Angeles.

The source told the Daily Mail that the intruders entered the Kemsley home by smashing the glass door into her children’s at-home classroom.

Kemsley told police she awoke to find armed men standing at the foot of her bed.

She reportedly begged the home invaders not to harm her children, the Daily Mail reported.

“Don’t hurt my babies. Don’t kill me. I’m a mother,” she begged them.

One of the suspects allegedly told another suspect at that point, “Kill her,” FOX News reported.

Friends have said the mother was “traumatized” by the event, the Daily Mail reported.

The robbers ransacked the celebrity couple’s $6.475 million, 9,000-square foot home for about 20 minutes.

They stole Kemsley’s jewelry and handbags, according to FOX News.

The home invasion occurred just hours after the Part 3 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion, which was filmed in September, aired on Bravo.

Interestingly, the women spent part of the episode discussing their pricey wardrobes and accessories after they aired a clip that included a conversation about Crystal Kung Minkoff’s $95,000 Hermes handbag.

Kemsley, 45, bragged about her own pricey wardrobe during the episode, the New York Post reported.

She described having a huge closet full of couture and claimed to have paid full retail price for everything.

“I’m really particular,” Kemsley said. “I want to wear what I want to wear, and it’s just easier. I just think, ‘I’ll buy it.’”

“I dress for myself — what I like,” she told reunion host Andy Cohen.

Kemsley talked about her new wedding gown line which featured dresses between $5,000 and $38,000.

The reality television star with an unusual accent has never been shy about showing off the contents of her home, the New York Post reported.

She filmed a tour of her closet for “Watch What Happens Live” in July of 2020 and showed off her unique and “rare” collection that included a Christian Dior purse that she said cost “at least five times more than any normal Dior bag.”

Kemsley also showed of her closet, as well as her husband’s slightly smaller walk-in closet, during a filmed tour of her home with Bravo in May of this year.

The reality star showed off drawers that were full of silver and gold jewelry, and shelves full of rare designer purses, sunglasses, shoes and other accessories, the New York Post reported.

While it’s not uncommon for the Real Housewives in all of Bravo’s franchises to show off their fabulously-stocked closets, the Beverly Hill’s cast has suffered the most for publicizing their largess and it’s the second time around for Kemsley.

Her home was targeted in January of 2019 by a thief who burglarized high-end items from celebrities’ homes, Access Hollywood reported.

The housewives also discussed the 2017 burglary of Kyle Richards’ home when all of her expensive designer purses and jewelry were stolen on Wednesday night’s episode.

LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division is investigating the home invasion, the Daily Mail reported.
