HollyMatkinWashington, PA – Former reality star and “Survivor” winner, Jenna Morasca, allegedly bit an officer on the arm in January, after police found her unconscious behind the wheel from an apparent overdose.
The incident occurred on Jan. 25, when officers encountered Morasca, 37, parked at a stop sign in the driver’s seat of her idling Chevrolet Trax, Us Weekly News reported.
According to the New York Daily News, police said that Morasca appeared to have passed out, and officers noticed that her passenger, Miranda Levers, was attempting to conceal a zip-lock bag filled with syringes by shoving it into a purse.
Levers’ bag was seized, and police attempted to revive Morasca by administering Narcan – a drug commonly used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
When medics arrived at the scene, they gave her an additional dose of Narcan, E! News reported.
Once she awoke, Morasca became “combative,” and began assaulting the officers and medics who were trying to transport her to the hospital.
“The female was actively resisting the medics who were assisting her and was also observed trying to bite the medics,” Officer Keith Zenkovich wrote in a police report, according to the New York Daily News. “I held the [female’s] head to the stretcher by placing my hand on her forehead.”
Morasca was able to bite one of the female officers on her right forearm, police said.
According to WPXI, after being transported to the emergency room in Washington, Morasca was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Pittsburgh.
Morasca was charged on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia, the New York Daily News reported.
A search of Levers’ bag yielded a burnt spoon, cotton balls, a string, and yet another syringe. She was released from the scene after being notified that she would be summonsed on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, E! News reported.
Morasca was awarded $1 million in 2003, when she emerged as the winner of CBS’s “Survivor: Amazon.”
She went on to appear in other reality shows, including “Survivor: All-Stars,” “Fear Factor,” and “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and was a professional wrestler for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, WPXI reported.
Morasca also modeled for “Playboy” in 2003, according to Us Weekly News.
