Philadelphia Police Officer Shot

A Philadelphia police officer was shot early Friday morning.

Philadelphia, PA – A Philadelphia police officer was shot in the Frankford section of the city early Friday morning.

The incident happened as the officer was serving a warrant in the 1600 block of Bridge Street around 5:45 a.m., according to WPVI.

During the warrant service, the unidentified officer was shot.

The officer was transported to Temple University Hospital and their condition has not been released at this time. UPDATE: The officer has died.

CBS3 reports that at least two other people were shot during the incident. Their connection to the case has not been released at this time.

No suspect details have been released.
