Bronx, NY – Police are searching for a man who went into a mosque in the Bronx and asked the imam to help him attack a police precinct.
Officials said that the suspect approached the imam inside a Rhinelander Avenue mosque in the East Bronx at about 4 p.m. on Aug. 25 and asked for his assistance in executing a terror attack against a police precinct, WABC reported.
The imam asked the suspect to leave the mosque, located in the Parkchester neighborhood, and he complied. But not before security cameras captured a picture of him.
Police said no one was injured during the encounter between the two men, WABC reported.
NYPD Crimestoppers shared the picture of the suspect on social media along with a plea for help from the public.
