Brooklyn, NY – A five-year veteran of the New York Police Department (NYPD) was arrested on Wednesday night after she confessed to shooting her ex-girlfriend and the ex-girlfriend’s new lover.
NYPD Assistant Chief Michael Kemper said officers responded to 911 calls that came in just before 5 p.m. on Oct. 13 and found off-duty NYPD Officer Yvonne Wu waiting for them in front of a home on 19th Avenue in Bensonhurst, WCAU reported.
Sources told WLNY that Officer Wu’s ex-girlfriend lived in the home and that the couple had split up about a month ago but had stayed in touch.

Both women were transported to the hospital via ambulance, WCAU reported.
Liang was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police said that Officer Wu’s ex-girlfriend was expected to survive, WCAU reported.
Officer Wu, who is assigned to the 72nd Precinct in Brooklyn, was taken into custody at the scene, WABC reported.
