Atlanta, GA – Governor Brian Kemp activated 500 Georgia National Guard soldiers just after midnight Saturday as mass looting and riots overwhelmed Atlanta.
CNN Center, the College Football Hall of Fame, and the Lenox Square Small have been heavily vandalized.
Mass looting was reported at the Lonox Square Mall.
Rioters set fire to at least one building and multiple vehicles Friday night.
The rioters did, however, appear to draw a line when it came to vandalizing Waffle House.
GA National Guard soldiers have already been seen arriving to back up police at Lenox Square Mall.
Governor Kemp has authorized the soldiers to make arrests, if necessary, according to AJC.
