Multiple Officers Down, Houses And Police Car On Fire At Active Shooter Scene

At least two Honolulu police officers were shot by a gunman in the Waikiki area.

Honolulu, HI – At least two police officers were shot and multiple houses are on fire at what the FBI is calling an active shooter.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting have not been released.

Two police officers were shot at a home near Diamond Head Sunday morning, according to Hawaii News Now.

After the shooting occurred, a police car and house caught fire. The fire has spread to at least four other houses, according to HNN.

CNN reports that the FBI is responding to the active shooter scene to aid Honolulu PD.

No information has been released about the gunman at this time.

The conditions of the wounded officers have not been confirmed. UPDATE: It has been confirmed that two officers were killed and a third was wounded.
