Mother Goes To Daughter’s School To Report Bullying, Bullies Beat Her Too

Union City, CA – A California woman said that she was brutally beaten by two teens as she was preparing to meet with a high school principal regarding her daughter being bullied by a group of girls.

The attack occurred outside James Logan High School on Jan. 7, KRON reported.

Maria Guadalupe Jimenez drove to the school with her husband, Eder Rojas, and her four-month-old and 16-year-old daughters with the intent of speaking with the principal.

But before they could enter the building, at least two girls came outside and intercepted them, KRON reported.

“They started screaming at us, ‘What you wanna do? Who’s going to fight first?'” Rojas told KGO.

Rojas said that he blocked them from being able to reach his 16-year-old daughter, so the girls attacked Jimenez instead, KRON reported.

“They want to hit my daughter but…they couldn’t get there so they grabbed my wife,” Rojas told the news outlet.

The teen girls punched and kicked Jimenez repeatedly in the face, bloodying her eye, breaking several bones, and knocking her unconscious.

At least one of the girls was a student at the school.

“The girl was very furious,” Jimenez later told KGO through a translator. “They grabbed [me] by the hair and dragged me.

When Rojas jumped in to yank the girls off of his wife, at least one of the teens struck his daughter.

Union City police responded to the school and placed one juvenile under arrest for battery with serious bodily injury, the San Francisco Gate reported.

Rojas told KRON that his wife was bleeding everywhere when he went over and picked her up off of the ground.

Jimenez was hospitalized for two days after the brutal attack, the San Francisco Gate reported.

“We are investigating and following up on this incident working directly with the Union City Police Department, and taking disciplinary actions,” school officials said in an email to parents. “We believe this incident to be between the two Logan students and does not appear to involve any other Logan students.”

The family said they plan to hire an attorney, and that they are moving their daughter to a different school, KRON reported.

A fundraising campaign established to help pay for Jimenez’s medical expenses has raised over $9,000.
