Lubbock, TX – A Lubbock mother ran over her fleeing boyfriend with her car after she caught him naked in bed with her seven-year-old daughter, and now the man has been criminally charged.
The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. on Aug. 8, 2021 when the mother got home from work and found her boyfriend – 29-year-old Delmer Orlando Ortiz Licona – naked in bed with her daughter, KLBK reported.
Licona, who is also known as Orlando Delmer-Ortiz, fled as the mother called 911.
The arrest affidavit said the 911 call began with the woman yelling ‘What are you doing to her?’” KLBK reported.
Then she told the dispatcher that she needed police to respond to her house.
“I just found my man, huh, whoever lives with me, naked in the bed with my daughter,” the mother said. “Please hurry. He’s running away. Please hurry.”
“And he’s your boyfriend?” the dispatcher asked, according to the affidavit.
“He’s supposed to be, but you hurry up or I’m going to kill him,” the woman replied.
“I’m going to f-king kill him,” the angry mother told the dispatcher. “Please hurry, please hurry. I’m fixing to kill him, hurry please, please hurry, please f-king hurry. He’s jumping the fence. He’s f-king jumping the fence. Hurry.”
The arrest affidavit said the woman told her daughter to get in the car and the dispatcher asked if her little girl was alright, KLBK reported.
“Yes, I got home just on time,” the mother said.
Then she told the dispatcher that she was following the man who had tried to sexually assault her seven year old, KLBK reported.
“I’m not going to deal with it,” the woman told the dispatcher, according to the affidavit.
The arrest affidavit said the dispatcher heard a sound like “something was hit” and then the child began screaming and crying, KLBK reported.
Then the dispatcher heard someone say “Please get an ambulance.”
“For what?” the dispatcher asked.
“He’s in the alley. He just got in front of my car. He just got in front of my car, sir,” the woman replied, according to KLBK.
“Did you just hit him with the car?” the dispatcher asked the mother.
“Yes, he jumped right in front of my car. He jumped right in front of my car, sir,” the woman explained, according to KLBK.
She said Licona was passed out drunk but nobody had been hurt, according to the affidavit.
The arrest affidavit said Licona fled the scene before officers arrived.
Investigators began looking into the allegations in March and the mother brought her daughter in to be forensically interviewed by detectives, KLBK reported.
The arrest affidavit said the child gave detectives very specific details about the assault.
Investigators contacted Licona in April and he told them he had done nothing wrong.
Police set up multiple interviews with him, but the suspect failed to show up, KLBK reported.
He was arrested on May 3 and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Licona remained in custody at the Lubbock County Detention Center, KLBK reported.
