Man Remains Silent After Wife Asks Him If She’s Pretty

Woman attacks husband after he didn't respond when she asked him if she was pretty

Laredo, TX –A Texas man was assaulted numerous times by his wife after she asked him if he thought she was pretty and the man didn’t respond.

Lizeth Ramirez, 20, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. April 9 after police responded to a report of an assault, according to the Laredo Morning Times.

At first, Ramirez claimed she was the victim of an assault by her “common law” husband.

Ramirez told police that her husband had assaulted her and tried to strangle her, the Laredo Morning Times reported.

However, the man told a different story.

He said that the couple went to the movies when Ramirez asked him if she looked pretty. The man told police he did not respond because he could not hear the question. But the lack of response from her husband made Ramirez angry, according to the Laredo Morning Times.

The man decided to leave rather than argue in the theater. However, he said that Ramirez hit him several times while he was driving them home.

Due to the assault, the police stated that the man decided to stop at another residence rather than drive home because it was closer.

While at that residence, a female relative witnessed Ramirez again striking her husband when the relative left her bedroom. Police said the female relative called police.

That female relative then tried to intervene but then Ramirez attacked the relative, according to police.

Ramirez was arrested and charged with two counts of assault, family violence, according to the Laredo Morning Times. The Laredo Police Department stated that Ramirez was transported to the Webb County jail in lieu of no bond set by the judge.

The Laredo Police Department has not disclosed any further information about the victim because they do not identify victims of domestic violence.
