Oklahoma City, OK – A 32-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly trying to convince a stripper to let him have sex with her two-year-old daughter.
The series of events leading to the arrest of 32-year-old Jimmy John’s worker Michael Jon Overby began on Jan. 12, when he allegedly texted a dancer he met at Red Dog Saloon, KOKH reported.
Court documents contained a transcript of the text exchange that allegedly took place between Overby and the dancer soon thereafter.
“Do you allow sex with your daughter?” Overby asked her early in the conversation.
“My phone is messing up,” she responded. “Who is this?”
The suspect told her he was “Michael O.,” according to police.
“Ohh, yeah!” she wrote back. “We’d have to talk in person.”
The woman then told Overby he should delete their messages as a precaution.
She asked him when he could come see her again, at which point Overby told her he was stuck at his apartment with a cold.
“After I recover, I can come in and see you. I got a new job at Jimmy John’s working Monday through Friday 10:30 to 5. So maybe not until next Sunday. I can host at my apartment. But we can talk about that when I come see you?” Overby texted back.
The woman notified police about the inquiry, resulting in Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) investigators asking her to text him back to see if he would meet up with her in person, FOX News reported.
Court documents said she reached out to him on March 16, KOKH reported.
“I have been thinking about it,” she wrote. “You are not going to do anything to physically hurt her?”
She also asked him how much he would be willing to pay to have sex with her two-year-old daughter, KOKH reported.
According to court documents, Overby responded in graphic detail and told her he would want to have sex with the toddler at his apartment.
Officers subsequently went to Overby’s residence and arrested him on charges of lewd indecent proposals/acts to a child and access computer with unlawful intent, the OKCPD said in a press release.
He was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on $200,000 bail.
